Split ends are evil! EVIL I TELL YOU!!!

Ooh lala, I've fallen in love and it's better this time than ever before. Lyrics to one of the songs I love so very much by foster the people. Don't assume that I chose to write this because I feel that way or anything. I might feel that way but you'll never know. Haha!
Ok, that's not the point! I want to tell you about my day. Well, nothing happened :) the end!
I'm just joking with you. A lot happens in the everyday life of Eli and today was no exception. So, let's see. Today was the first day I talked to the new guy in our class who came last week and I am happy about that because I feel like if someone new comes to class it's everyone's job to welcome them so finally did my part. Another point, a more negative point for me was that today was also the first time I didn't enjoy my whole PE lesson (in case you don't understand me: PE=gym/physical education). There were only 9 people, 4 of us being girls and I felt like the class either needs more people or less people. I apologise but I did feel that some people made the lesson boring or just annoying and I would say 'maybe I'm being a sore loser' but even when I was in the winning team I was still disliking it. This was while playing volleyball but I guess playing football with a small group is quite ok. I feel a little bad about that though because it was Olivia who really wanted to play volleyball and I was excited because she was excited. Ah, one bad lesson out of several good ones won't kill me.
Ah, and a double bonus of the day. I finally cut my hair! I got rid of those stupid annoying split ends so I am super happy now. If you know how much I love my hair then you will understand me.
Evil split ends!

Do you think you know what the song of the day is? Or at least a part of the lyrics? I think not! Muahahahaha... No, it is not 'I would do anything for you' by Foster the people, but I will give you the link because perhaps you are curious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOIfNyBmZ0g

The song of the day actually is by one of my favourite bands and I was thinking about them today so here's 'The Catalyst' by Linkin Park. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51iquRYKPbs&feature=relmfu

People are funny, don't you think?

Ah, this morning I walked out of the building and what did I see? SNOW!!! Madness I tell you! Madness... Anyway, do you ever have those moments when even the smallest thing can make you laugh and when it does you can't seem to stop laughing? Well, I had one of those moments today. Laughed so hard I cried then coughed. I love those moments but hate them at the same time because when you try explaining why something is so funny to you, you realise how stupid it actually is but usually I can't even stop myself laughing long enough to explain. Bonus!
So did anything interesting happen today? We got a new student in our class from China so this is pretty cool, getting so many new students. Other than that? No, not really. The day was fun but nothing extraordinary.
I have to do a history report and the question I chose to research is 'How did the Treaty of Versailles cause Hitler's rise to power?'. So what did I do? I borrowed four heavy books and that doesn't include my huge history textbook, aka. the green bible. Ok, the first book is not so heavy but it adds to the weight. Let's hope it helps though. Wish me luck!

So today I heard a song playing on TV and I thought I would share it with you. I really do love this song but in actual fact I'm sure most of you know it. Well, the part of you that have seen Lion King at least. The original song is called 'Mbube' by Solomon Linda and here's the link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrrQT4WkbNE
However, I am sure most of you are more aware of the name 'Wimoweh' or 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' so I found a video by Ladysmith Black Mambazo of 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' and here is the link to that:

Hopefully you will appreciate both the songs as did I.

And now I wish you all a great night and an exciting Tuesday.

Yours sincerely,
Eli

I'm freezing

I just looove showering! It makes me feel all fresh and good smelling :). Not that I usually smell bad but I just feel that I smell extra good right after a shower... Anyway, today we got a new student in our class AGAIN. Apperently he just moved here from China and it's very interesting to hear about all the differences between China and Sweden. Although he has a kind of hard time with the English, but the chinese girl (Li) can help him with some translating.

It's cold outside again and some snow from yesterday is still on the ground, which makes me a tiny bit sad since I only two days ago found the ultimate spring sign (spring flowers growing from the ground). Don't get me wrong, winter is still my favourite season but it's suppose to be over by now.

So, I found a clip on YouTube with this British girl singing and playing the piano, she's called Birdy (I think I might be a bit behind everyone else in watching things on YouTube)and I absolutely love her voice. So today the favourite song is Birdy's cover of Bon Iver's "Skinny Love". The link right here:

Hope you all enjoy the song!

Let the sun shine

It's ironic how just when we decide it's spring the snow decides to show itself once more. Not that I don't love snow but really? Why now? I want the sun to shine again.
Anyway, If I could redo my weekend, I would. Not that it was bad or anything like that, just that it means I would not have school so soon but at least now, in the situation I currently am in the week is closer to finishing than if I were redoing this weekend. I hope any of that makes sense but if you want me to make it simpler I just mean I don't want to go to school. I have an oral source analysis in history tomorrow, a maths test on Tuesday and an essay test on Thursday and I would much rather sleep, like I'm sure any of you would do. At least on the bright side one of my classmates is throwing a party thing on Thursday so I will not only be going but also staying at Olivia's for the night, if all goes well.
As for today, I really didn't do anything of interest. It was an ordinary, boring Sunday and unfortunately it's going to end that way too so I'm going to make this short, sweet and simple for you all.

Ow, and before I leave I have to agree completely with Olivia's choice of the song of the day. I really love the song actually so she couldn't have picked something better.

Yours sincerely,
Eli

What are those white things falling from the sky?

It snowed today. No you don't get it, it SNOWED today. I know it's the first of April, but I'm not fooling you, it was like a snowstorm when I went out for a peaceful walk in the forrest. When I came back home my clothes weren't so dry anymore... While I was trying to appreciate the snow I found a pic of me, my sister and my dad on a skiing vacation in the north of Sweden. This picture was taken when I was about six years old, so ten years ago, and I'm the one closest to the camera.

Something else I did today was cleaning the bathroom and my room, and constantly listening to music the whole day. So that means that I have chosen a favourite song of today! It's called "No you girls" and is played by the band Franz Ferdinand. A link can you find right here:

Nighty, nighty you all! I'm going to sleep now:).

Saving energy and recharging my own

Since we apparently can't get enough of each other Eli, Felicia and me had to hang out again today and watch a couple of movies. Like Eli mentioned we watched "Nine" and "Tron: Legacy". I enjoyed them both, but that might just be because I had such a good film-watching company :).

I have a problem with being on time for my bus in the morning, as I have mentioned before. It turns out that it's not just a problem in the early morning with only an hour to prepare, but in the middle of the day aswell, with several extra hours for preparing. Luckily, I have understanding friends that don't mind waiting for me 10 more minutes.
After having a wonderfully relaxing day I'm preparing myself to once again study tomorrow. Will I ever be free of this madness? Well, no probably not within the next 6 years...

Anyone else who participated in earth hour?

The favourite song of today I leave to Eli because I don't really have one today.
Hope you all have a nice sleep until late tomorrow!

Yours sincerely
Olivia

Spring is finally here!

For the first time today, Olivia and I visited Felicia's home and it was so fun. We got to the bus stop at around 2 then started calling out Felicia's name while we waited for her because we didn't know the way to her house. So at her house we watched two movies. The first one was a movie called Nine which was an animated movie starring the voice of Elijah Wood and the second movie was called Tron Legacy. Both movies were really great although Tron was quite predictable. I had seen Nine before but even watching it for the second time is fun because it's a unique movie with a wonderful story line. I recommend it. Apart from that, Felicia has a really beautiful house and I shall be camping there from now on. I'm just kidding (if Felicia is reading this, if not then I'm  not kidding. Shhhh!). Well, it was also nice to officially meet Felicia's mum.
Conclusion: Had a lot of fun at Felicia's.
I got home around 9 and by that time half an hour of earth hour had passed so I couldn't really do the whole earth hour but either way I tried to spend the other half an hour without switching on any electronics and it actually worked out. Half an hour is not that long anyway.
On our way to the bus stop from Felicia's place we saw a flower and the first thing Olivia said when she saw that was "Aaaaah, SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!!!" which is a little bit ironic considering the fact that today was quite cold but still... Yaaaaay!!! Spring is finally here!

That's about it from me but before I leave I give you the song of the day. Trade mistakes by Panic! At the disco and here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cktm1jAh6_o

Eli
