THE WEEKEND IS FINALLY UPON US!!!

Bio is over!!! It wasn't that bad actually. I basically studied for about two hours before the exam and actually managed to gain the knowledge I needed for the test so it went well but I'm not going to assume that I passed with flying colours because every time I say I think I did really well and got the best grade in the world, I fail! Ok, not fail just do a lot worse than expected and I hate that so... ooh, wait. If I say I think I failed does that mean I will pass? Nah, I think I have to really believe it if I want it to actually happen and well, I don't think I failed.
Other than that, my aunt sent me to the University in town to return some books she borrowed. I would say that was her biggest mistake but she went out too so we're floating in the same boat today which is not bad but she gave me a panic attack because till around 11pm she is still not back but I called, she's fine so all is good :D Ow, right. So I went to the Uni with Olivia and Felicia and we ended up spending three and a half hours there just talking about anything and everything which is always great. After that I came home and did what I was dreaming of the whole day. I took a nice warm bubble bath and it was great! So that was pretty much my day and it was great pretty much from the moment we finished the biology test because before that panic, panic, panic!

My last cookie! I like cookies :)

And the song of today is Hurricane by Panic! At the disco. I love Panic! At the disco, I really enjoy their music. There are some musicians who I can listen to then I get tired of them but with Panic! At the disco I can get tired of them for a while then I'm back to loving them. So finally, here is the link:

Zzzzzz...

It's eleven o'clock on a Friday night and I'm about to fall asleep in front of my computer. What kind of 16 year old does that? Me, that's who. I haven't been sleeping that much this week but I still thought that I was young enough to stay awake until after eleven...
After finishing school with a biology test Eli and Felicia managed to persuade me (in a mildly disturbing way) to come with them and return some books at the Uni of Linköping. It was fun, though, because we ate some ice cream in the sun and sat and talked for a couple of hours next to the library.

Keeping it short today, the favourite song is "Do it like a dude" by Jesse J. Just because we today once again discussed gender issues with each other. The link to the music video can you find right here:

I'm sending sweet dreams to you all.

I see problems down the line. I know that they're mine...

I've been trying to study since I came home and yes I have finally somehow succeeded but still feel like I don't know anything. I sat in my room with books open the whole day that my aunt made me a lovely dinner that I ate in my room near my books. So what am I waiting for? Tomorrow at exactly 14:50 because that's when my biology lesson ends and that's when I'm done with school for the week. I can't wait.

Funny Fact About Eli: When I study I like to eat snacks so I buy stuff like cookies or crisps or... cake! Today it was cookies. Might not be the funniest fact, I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this but whatever, there you go.

Song of the day is Down the Line by José González. I really love him and his music is perfect to listen to when you're down or just want to relaxe, like I do right now so enjoy! Ow and the video is weird but still, enjoy :D Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wppll7UYFVs

Why can't I see the light?

Finally I could start biking to school today! My bike had to be repaired at a biking-repair-garage-thingy and yesterday my daddy brought it back home for me :). So I peacefully bicycled my way to and home from town, without having to run to my bus, like I do every other morning.

Agreeing completely with Eli, I'm wishing that pre-IB was over and summer break was here. This mid-week night-studying session seem to never end... Although something did actually happen today. We got a new student in our class and we had no idea that he was comming. Neither did we know that the girl who started in our class yesterday was going to start, until the day right before. Anyway, it's always fun to meet new people so I'm quite excited about it. It's also good that we got a new guy in our class since we are about 6 boys now and 17 girls...

Trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel, my favourite song of the day is a summer song from two years ago, when the World Championship in football was held in the continent of Africa, for the first time. "Wavin Flag" by K'NAAN. LIIIIINNKKK:

aaaaAAAHH!!! I can't study :(

Ah!!! Why won't these stupid two weeks leading up to Easter just end already!? I get that we don't do that much in school, honestly it's pretty chilled this week but the problem is we're doing so many compulsory subjects that I'm just tired of this year and in actual fact I repeated a class because after leaving Tanzania I was supposed to go straight to the IB Programme but instead due to some technicalities the school was so sweet to reveal to us I had to do the preparatory year, which at the moment really sucks. The only reasons I'm happy I did it is because I kind of get to slack off and train myself to be serious for a year and I couldn't have asked for a better class but other than that, now I have to do chemistry, physics, economics and all the other subjects I really really really despise. Did I mention chemistry? Because I really hate that subject. If you love it because you get it then good for you but I don't get it at all.
Ok, I'm just ranting now so I'm going to stop, but long story short I am tired of having random tests every week and I can't wait till Easter. No, no, no, I can't wait till SUMMER!!! That's it summer.

On the plus side of my day, I made a cake which I have been wanting since Sunday buuuut unfortunately I kind of burnt it, still tastes good though. Another thing would be that I love what I did with my hair today. Didn't do much I just wet it, put a little leave in conditioner and left it open for the day but I love my curls.

Hmm... song of the day. Radio by Hot Chelle Rae. I don't mean to sound racist or ANYTHING like that but I was listening to their album today and I got the slight impression these people think they're black... :/ Anyway I don't mind their music although I'm kind of over this type of music. Anyway, enjoy! Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ovL1PJkHDA

Sleeping in the Suburbs

Like Eli said, taday was a short day in school, mine even shorter than hers because I didn't go to gym... I'm just not that into swimming okay! But anyway I also passed out after I ate lunch (omelette), and then read a book for Swedish class called "Tristan and Isolde", perhaps you've heard of it. It takes quite a long time to read it since it's in very formal (and old) Swedish, which makes it a bit boring if you ask me.
I also had some time to watch a couple of episodes of the show "Suburgatory". It's an American comedy show about a 16 year old girl and her dad that moves from NY to the suburbs. The lifestyle in the suburbs isn't exactly what a regular person would call "normal" which makes the series very humorous.

I think Eli already nailed the favourite song of the day, so I'll just finish off by hoping you all have a wonderful night filled with sleep!

Smells like chlorine

You know those days which feel like they were meant to be part of the weekend just because school felt so short? This day was one of them, so it was great! The only problem was that I had planned to go out a little with my friends after school then come home early and study. That plan only half worked out. We began with french in the morning then had a long break and then went swimming during our PE lesson so we finished around 1 which was when me and two of my friends (Felicia and Kim) went out for lunch, Felicia treated us so that was really sweet and I appreciate it, after that we all went home. That was where my plan went into flames. I originally wanted to study but instead flicked on the TV and passed out. I really need to be sleeping earlier at night. Either way I did study a little bit so tomorrow I will study more for my up coming biology test on Friday and then I will eat a chupa chup in celebration, dance with somebody and chat a little. Sounds like a good plan to me, that will work!
So, what did I get from this day. Well, I smell a little like chlorine now from the swimming pool (it's a little annoying how the smell of chlorine always sticks to your skin) and I borrowed a book from the library.
As you can see it's called 'There's a boy in the girls' bathroom' and it's by the author of holes which was also made into a movie. I read the book holes a few years ago and really liked it so I picked this book up today, read the first two chapters and decided that I want to keep reading.

So, song of the day? Memories by Panic! At the disco. I love the band and with this particular song just LOVE the chorus. Here's the link:

Something about home...

Monday, hmm. Ah, today hasn't been the best of days, hasn't been the worst either but it could have been better. School was the normal, laughed, enjoyed the company of my friends and just had fun. Afterwards I went to town with one of my friends, Jule (perhaps it's easier to pronounce as Julia) but first we had to go to her house then back to town. The annoying part was just after I stepped into the bus, that's when I discovered the top of my earphones were missing, and by top I mean the actual earphones because they are sony ericsson earphones so they always have that funny non-universal thing, anyway now I have to buy new earphones ASAP because the ones I have now are semi-crap and I can't live without my music.
Other than that, I guess I've been down today because I've been feeling a little homesick, it's a little more specific than general homesickness but I do not care to explain it but it's a problem I've somehow always had, I just don't understand why it's so much harder now. Anyway, it will be fine because life is full of great surprises!

Well, don't let my slight depression (ok, I wouldn't call it that. I'm just missing something at home) get you down so ENJOY YOUR TUESDAY as will I and we'll all be happy :D

Yours sincerely,
Eli

The Weekend Is Over

Monday finally!!! No, no, I'm not being serious.Who in the world likes Mondays? But for being the first day of the week today was alright, actually. Except for the fact that I was more tired than usual, and I don't know why because I didn't do anything too exhausting yesterday, just a bit of volleyball and...ehmmm...that's it. Ah well, at least today is over and I can get some sleep soon after a long day of laughing and  playing the oboe.

Without making any explanations I'm just going to tell you that the favourite song of today is "Shake It Out" by Florence + The Machine, who I've been listening to a lot lately. And you can find a link to the song right here:

Hope you enjoy your evening.

Chupa Chups

Another boring Sunday has finally come to an end and today was just one of those days when you wake up still feeling sleepy and the only  way to get over that is by sleeping again but unfortunately I have not had the chance yet so I just have to finish some homework then I will be done and off to sleep.
Other than that, my day has been spent pretty much only doing laundry and today I just really wasn't in the mood to do it so it was a little more annoying than usual but it's done now and I have nothing more to worry about.
I look forward to the up coming week, it seems to be filled with fun. Ok, not really just that Tuesday I only have two classes, one of those being swimming so I will get to go home very early and will hardly be doing anything the whole day. Yay! I can't wait till Tuesday at 9:40am because that's when my only subject for the day in class will end.
So I wish you all a goodnight and a great week!

One last thing, the song of the day is 'love you like a love song' by Selena Gomez. I'm not the biggest fan but I am still a fan of some of her stuff and this song kind of happens to be one of them plus I was listening to it again today and just felt like sharing it with you :) Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgT_us6AsDg&ob=av2e

Cinema experience

Amazing. That the movie "The Hunger Games" is equally as good as the book, and I love the book. Of course a lot of details were left out but since it was the most irrelevant ones it was alright. The actors were perfect for the roles and the scenes were also wonderful (I mean scenes as in how the environment looked). With all that clear, I'll tell you how our experience in the cinema was. Well it started out quite funny with us (Eli, me, and three of our friends: Felicia, Kim and Li) being the only ones laughing at the jokes, and at one point only Felicia laughing, loudly... But then Li wasn't feeling so well and... let's just say she didn't see much of the movie. Hope you feel better now Li!

So, the favourite song of today is "Made For You" by OneRepublic, because almost all their songs are really good and really worth listening to, at least if you ask me. A link is right here:

Hope you all have a lazy Sunday.

The Hunger Games

Today, I gave my post the title 'The Hunger Games' because the movie was just that good. It was amazing! I have not read the books but even my friends who read the books said the movie was great which is why Olivia needs to write her review on this. It was moving, sometimes humorous, rather bloody and definitely thrilling with the main actress (Katniss Everdeen. Real name: Jennifer Lawrence) having played her role really well and having touched my heart (sounds cliche but she did). The movie was honestly great. I have to mention one extra point before moving on, because I'm that much of a hater. I just read in an article that The Hunger Games 'has already drawn comparisons to Stephanie Meyer's Twilight saga' but in my opinion Twilight was NOTHING compared to The Hunger Games. If you ever have to choose between the two, don't be stupid, you know what to do.
Other than that, my day was great. I got up late but at least I did something and that something being hoovered the whole house. I also watched another movie in the morning called 'My Fake Fiance' which was a romantic comedy I believe and generally I do not enjoy romance movies but this time, even though it was predictable and all I did enjoy it. There was something (can't pinpoint what) a little unique about it that I loved.

Well, I'm off to bed now and I leave you with a picture of what I came home to for dinner.
Ow, before I leave, the song of today is We are young by fun featuring Janelle Monae. I heard it today morning for the first time and fell in love with it. Here's the link:

Class parties

It's funny but nice. In my last school in Tanzania a class party meant bringing snacks to school then sitting and talking for the day to celebrate the fact that it's the last day of the term or school year, so this only happened once or about three times throughout a whole school year. In my current school here in Sweden a class party is when we gain entrance to a classroom before the teacher, play some music and just go crazy. Dance, run, laugh and more. It usually helps when we are experiencing sugar rushes but I love it!
Well, that is probably why my day was so great and the fact that we're going to see Hunger Games tomorrow only makes it better.

Felicia paying for our Hunger Games tickets. Yay!

Hooray to the weekend ahead of us!

Yours sincerely,
Eli

Dancing With Somebody

Aaahhh....Friday! Finally the weekend is here and as we are a bit crazy we started it off by having a dance party in school. By "we" I mean mainly Eli, me and Felicia, but also the rest of our class who actually participated in our madness. A happy day with almost summer (and definitely spring) in the air deserves some celebration, so therefore we went to town for smothies and a chat in the sun.

Favourite song of the day? "Tony Zoulias (Lustful Life)" by Mando Diao, because it has a free (and crazy) feeling to it, and it's also a great song. You can find a link to it right here:

Hope you're dancing a lot tonight!

Yours sincerely
Olivia

Oranges

All of us are looking forward to Saturday! And by all of us I mean me, Olivia and the other girls who are going to see THE HUNGER GAMES!!! We're all so excited, the whole class at the moment is hyped up by that so I will leave the song of the day to be what Olivia has chosen.
Other than that, it's finally shown that our 'perfect' little class has some hidden boiled up negative little feelings towards one another as this week has proved to show our little fights but nothing is ever perfect but we are only human after all, there's no such thing as a relationship without a little fighting, it's just a bump in the road.
That's all I feel like telling you today so...

Mocking Jay

As Eli has mentioned I've been sick, for two days now, but tomorrow I'll be back in school just in time for friday and an economics test... Therefore, I'm studying right now, or at least I should be. But I'm kind of practicing my skill of procrastination for the moment by listening to the "The Hunger Games" -album. Which leads me to why I'm happy today: I got a text from my dear friend Felicia telling me that we have tickets for the movie "The Hunger Games"!!! So, on Saturday I'll hopefully have an amazing evening with the girls at the cinema. I'm a bit worried though that I'm going to be disappointed since my hopes are so high... But rihgt now let's celebrate with a pic from the movie!

And to make it clear that I'm very excited the favourite song of today is "Come Away To The Water" by Maroon 5 ft Rozzi Crane, from the soundtrack of the movie. A link to it is right here:
